Vancouver’s Alternative Wedding Event Returns to Heritage Hall on January 26

What are you doing this Saturday? We’re looking forward to checking out Indie I Do, a unique Vancouver wedding show featuring local independent vendors, presented by Lotus Events and Blue Olive Photography.

Billed as “Vancouver’s sassiest wedding show,” this fifth annual celebration of indie style returns January 26 to Heritage Hall on Main Street. If you’ve been to any of the larger wedding shows at convention centres or major hotels, Indie I do offers a refreshing change of pace.

Inside the more intimate space of funky Heritage Hall, you can chat with local vendors offering everything from photography and beauty services to bridal fashions and wedding décor. Among them are several talented folks who’ve been featured in the pages of Real Weddings, including: Davie & Chiyo (bridal clutches), Carmen West Creative (fashion accessories), Stone Photo and Photobooth Vancouver (photography services) and Young, Hip and Married (wedding officiants/counsellors).

Plus, be sure to check out the roaming fashion showcases, as well as the belly-dance and burlesque performances — ooh la la!

Indie I Do runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reserve your tickets online for $15 (and to guarantee you’ll score a swag bag!), or buy them at the door for $20.
