How They Did It
1. Kavita carried a bouquet composed of white and pink peonies, lavender freesia, mini-cymbidium orchids, blue delphinium and purple lisianthus, made by Fiorire Designer Florals by Rosalba. “We liked it because of the beautiful soft colours and textures as well as the romantic feel of the bouquet,” she says.
2. Dallas and his groomsmen donned grey tuxedos from The Tux Store.
3 . For her invitations, Kavita wanted a design that fit with her intimate, simple, romantic theme, yet still contained “a little bit of an eastern feel to it.” The invitations were designed and made by Colleen Winton at Flourish.
4. “We wanted an outdoor wedding but we knew the weather in June might not cooperate,” Kavita says. “Cecil Green offered an amazing outdoor location for the ceremony with a great backup location on the patio. It’s an absolutely beautiful heritage home with an amazing garden and a view of the ocean. It was perfect for the intimate, romantic feel we wanted for the wedding.”
5. Sandy Godfree from Art of the Party decorated the iron archway for the ceremony, using florals on either side that wound down the front of the arch.
6. Kavita wore Touch Up shoes purchased on amazon.com. “I wanted lavender coloured shoes but could not find them anywhere,” she says. “After months of looking I decided to get dyeable shoes, and then had them dyed at Lansdowne Shoe Renew in Lansdowne Centre, Richmond. So I had the exact colour I wanted.”
